Chuck Wolter joined IH Capital, LLC as its Chief Executive Officer in September 2014. He is responsible for overseeing all of the CMBS lending and subsequent securitization activities of the firm.
Prior to the formation of IH Capital, Mr. Wolter was a senior executive at Starwood Mortgage Capital (SMC). Mr. Wolter, helped start SMC’s CMBS conduit and was an Executive Vice President responsible for new loan origination activities. In addition, Mr. Wolter was responsible for creating, implementing, and executing the first ever seller financing platform for commercial mortgages on Auction.com. Prior to helping start SMC, Mr. Wolter was a co-founder of Tannery Brook Partners which advised clients on matters related to commercial real estate finance including property level recapitalization and debt restructuring. Prior to co-founding Tannery Brook Partners, Mr. Wolter spent 15 years at Wachovia (now Wells Fargo) where he was responsible for overseeing the origination and management of the bank’s principal investments in bridge, mezzanine, preferred equity, and joint venture equity investments.
Mr. Wolter held various other roles in Wachovia’s CMBS group including Managing Director responsible for all CMBS loan pricing, structuring, and deal management.
Prior to joining Wachovia, Mr. Wolter worked for Coopers & Lybrand’s Federal and State Income Tax Consulting Group where he was a Certified Public Accountant.
Mr. Wolter holds a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Georgia and earned a Masters in Taxation from Georgia State University.
